Types of Elevators:

  1. Symmetry (most common) Typically 2,3,4 stops. Door opening can be straight in line on each floor, straight through or 90 degrees. Located inside an existing house where an elevator shaft can be created to each floor. It has a door to the elevator cab at each level that matches the existing doors and hardware of the house. The elevator cab has a maximum size of 15 square feet, by code. There are many options for the finishes of interior and hardware. Requires an 8" pit. Typically, gear driven, but can be cable drum or hydraulic. Also, can be located on the exterior with the shaft foundation, siding and roof to match the existing house.
  2. PVE (Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator) These are round air driven elevators. Three sizes 30", 37" and 52". The last one is wheelchair accessible. Aluminum & polycarbonate structure. The aluminum finish has 6 color options.
  3. Cibes This is an exposed metal and glass framed unit for interior or exterior installation. It is a screw-driven system, no hydraulics. Contemporary look. It can be installed with no pit or with a shallow pit of 2 3/4".
  4. Savaria Telecab Home Lift This is 2 stops only through the floor lift. There are several sizes available with approximately 3' x 5' floor cut out. White powder coated finish with acrylic panels. The larger model is wheelchair accessible. No pit required. 
  5. Symmetry Shafless This is 2 stops only through the floor. Battery powered. Compact with a flip down seat. Not wheelchair accessible. Car size 33" x 39".
